© The Galpin Society 2012-2013 The Galpin Society has an international membership of people from all walks of life with an interest in musical instruments, and is named after Canon Francis Galpin.                       Visits to collections of musical instruments both in the UK and elsewhere are arranged for members on an occasional basis, including some which are not normally open to the public. In July 2013 we will be co-hosting a conference in Oxford: Musical Instruments – History, Science and Culture  BOOKINGS FOR THE CONFERENCE HAVE NOW CLOSED. The Galpin Society Journal (GSJ) is published annually for members at the end of the subscription year. A newsletter is produced three times a year, and is available on this website.
